SHOCKED - How to get parts and accessories
#1
Could I find out how to order a centre console for my new Berlingo?

Ah easy try the Citroen main site - yep - order online line for accessories - wait it's buy another car! Can't be maybe I made a mouse click error - no - same thing. Clearly the order accessories link is buy a new car!!!

OK then Google will help. Yep a phone no. for the local Citroen parts department near me in N. London...er....yes after 10 mins Googling.

The 1st number was disconnected, the 2nd was and centralised London depot so far away it would take me a 2 hour round trip, the 3rd gave me another phone number to contact which got me into an automated loop message "press button 0 for all other enquiries."
Finally thankfully, the 4th gave me a phone number of one of the only remaining parts counters in Harlow only a 40 min round trip drive.

Why oh why is it so hard to buy a part for your car in the capital city of this country?

Sorry for the rant but it should be simple, quick, and job done.

Is this a COVID problem or a BREXIT problem, or a major failure in customer service???

Has anyone got a solution to this?

I completely agree, the way the franchised system of dealers works makes the simple things like buying a part a complete mess.

I am lucky that my local dealership lets me walk right past the sharp suited men selling cars and overpriced servicing and lets me talk to the manager of the actual service department, he is the one with access to the exploded diagrams and the price list.

I will give "wilmoths citroen" a shout out here because they cover Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire so there might be one near you in North London

I honestly think your best bet would be to find an independent parts supplier, hopefully someone else on the forum will be able to recommend one, indies often beat dealerships on both price and knowledge.

There is a site called http://www.catcar.info/ which lets you put your VIN number in and look at the relevant part numbers..... I warn you though it is not very easy to navigate but once you have the part number google searches of part numbers bring up much better results than just descriptions.

I hope you find the centre console soon, Ebay and scrap yards might prove fruitful, although hopefully not many 2021's are being scrapped yet!

We have a Citroen and a Peugeot dealership within 6 miles and easy to get to, one or the other usually has parts or can order.
So where does this bit go then ?

Better to be in the stix rather than a metropolis?

Maybe Citroen and their dealerships don't seem that interested in customers wanting to upgrade/service vehicles themselves if they have evolved this disorganised and oh so slow system by withdrawing parts counters from most dealerships where I live.

You might think they'd offer door to door delivery - nope
You might think Citroen would offer a website single point of contact and automatically send your part to the nearest dealership for collection - nope

It can't be that difficult nowadays if world class customer service is your goal. What there is at the moment is a hotch potch mess
