K9 touchscreen & map update
#11
1) 3.0 USB is faster than 2.0 so yeah it makes a difference in sense of file transferring speed otherwise there is no difference.
2) SanDisk USB worked fine.
3) I'm not sure about this in my situation I keep the engine running.
4) Actually it takes more than a 10min, it takes around 1hour in my case.
5) It worked fine but just for concern I already make manual Enigma Recovery Coupons through a recovery tool.

"Interesting I didn't know there was a non-nav variant. Is there a difference in screen size to?"

Mine is without the Nav and I'm sure it's the same screen as any other that does have it.
I do wish I'd spent the extra to get that variant as I'm not happy with using downloaded Google maps that only show the map on half the screen at best and a too large font taking up the other half or any where I need a data connection or paid. I've ended up still using my Garmin SatNav which has lifetime updates anyway.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

No, they're mechanically identical. Mine lacks the built-in map, requires phone connection for Waze/Google maps/Amigo etc.

I have found Garmin's to be pretty good kit even from the first generation after they fixed the roundabout software glitch. Being American and no roundabouts in USA it didn't work over here resulting in lockups everytime you went round one! Even have one on my bike with rear warning radar.

Updated my non-nav yesterday. Took 15 minutes sharp with 32 GB USB3.0 Verbatim stick.

I have a bluehdi 100 feel, 2021. We have had this about 3 months. I have updated the touchscreen twice (once when we first got it and then earlier this week) . How do we know when an update is available?

The MyCitroen phone app shows a message screen up to advise you of Touchscreen and or Map updates. I think you can also get this from the PC portal but not tried it.

I have both the Android and PC app. The former not recognizing my VIN thus being useless. PC app is straightforward and easy to use, it checks for updates for your model and makes you the correct USB installer.
