White 600d paint?

Hey all,

I originally thought my van was just a solid white paint with no clear coat/lacquer but after polishing with a strong compound and a black sponge I'm not seeing any white paint transer leading me to believe it's lacquered cratch:

Any ideas? it's a 2001 X reg.

Should just be a flat paint im a Mobile valeter and ive machine poilished mine complete days work to remove all dullness and swirls and it came up a treat with no issues

What year is yours? I might scratch a bit in a hidden area to see what I'm getting.

My van is a 2002, in white, I too have polished mine with a machine as the paint was so flat, it looked matt!!

He now shines better than most vans I see, not bad to say he's nearly ten years old. There is no clear coat on mine, although, when i had my new front bumper painted, it was clear coated.

The guy who did it was explaining about new water based paints, and the need to clear coat them.
