Mines still chugging along at 163k so Id say get a direct-inject DPF cleaner - a GOOD one, not the cheapest and take the sensor out and do a clean. They do work so its worth a punt. You CAN pull the DPF can apart and do a physical clean with various solutions but its a messy job. 116k,s not a lot. These engines need long runs regularly to regen so if its been a stop/start car that wont have helped. Reset it and give it a good blast at 2000 + revs for 20 miles and see if it burns off. You can actually smell it sometimes. It might actually have clogged up beyond help though so you might be floggin a dead horse.

thanks for replying , i got the D.P.F.cleaned by a friend , hes just finished it and it was like new when he finished , he took it apart and used Whynns of car D.P.F.cleaner. his scan tool cannot take the .D.P.F.needs replaced code off.
think i will have to get a bank loan and take it to local Citreon dealer .

It is possible to reset the DPF counter via Diagbox. I have never done it so can't advise exactly how, but there are threads on here about it.

This is where smart engines are,nt that smart and can be a real inconvenience, and a costly one in the end. You have an ecu that says there is something wrong and it isnt because you have rectified what it says was the problem but still refuses to believe it. Try to get it to an independant Citroen garage and get it reset if no one can help from here, Im sure there must be someone in your area within limping distance..sorry, not funny. Not been in this situation before myself but there will come a time, sure as eggs-is-eggs..
