Front passenger seat folding
#1
Feel xl. Not sure if I’m missing something but according to the owners manual, the passenger seat should fold flat allowing long loads. The lever allows the seat back to move but not fold flat. Is this feature on higher spec models?

do you have armrests, On our rifter it wouldn't fold flat until we removed the armrest
Thanks

No, the Feel doesn’t have arm rests. I noticed the manual mentions them. Must add, the manual seems to have been written by a French robot.

My Shine and XTR fold flat, Feel does not.

if it is the same as the van, the fold flat function is by a blue toggle on the top left hand side of the of the seat as you look forward

I think it’s different, there’s no toggles on my seat, just the lever to adjust the backrest. The lever works but the back only goes forward about 10deg past vertical.

I need to look at my K9 again but I'm sure my passenger seat has one lever for sliding it back and forwards and the usual lever where the seat base meet the seat back, on the side, that tilts the seat. I know it only tilts back to about 45 degrees and forwards not much, whereas I remember my old B9 folded flat forwards and backwards.
I miss the fact, or at least my wife does, that she can't recline it flat when dozing off.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

Thanks for your reply. I’m quite new to the Peugeot Citroen world, have to say the online/downloadable owners manual leaves a lot to be desired! I’m used to simply Skoda .

My mistake. I've just been out in the car and seen that the front passenger seat does fold flat forwards. Not though backwards, though I know that wasn't the question.

I agree with Yorkshire about the manual, something should be done to improve it and make it more relevant to the model you have rather than: '*** may not be fitted to your version'

However according to my manual you lift the backrest adjustment lever upwards and rotate it as far as it goes to unlock the seatback and push it forwards and down onto the seat squab. You may need to push the seat backwards first to clear the front bulkhead.

Hope that's the definitive answer because I haven't tried it myself yet.

I.T. is there to help, but unforgiving if you make a mistake
