Hi
I downloaded the update in the usual way and it appeared in my download folder. I then extracted it using 7z, as suggested by Citroen, to a new folder on my desktop.
Probably not relevant but the download took just over 2 days to complete. I have probably the worst broadband in the country, BT say, sorry you are too far from the exchange.

That's rough. DL took less than two hours over my wireless connection.

Did you have to download the licence file AS WELL as the update file?

Re improving download time, you could try to tether your mobile phone for the download if you got unlimited data allowance. Should be faster if you got a good 4G signal in your area.

Hi
Yes got the licence file as well. it said to create a 'Licence' folder on usb and install in there.
Re your other point: I do not have much data with my phone, however i do have a Mifi which I use for when away in camper van, but only 10GB data. Also no 4g where we are. I am lucky if broadband runs at 900kbs!!!!!!

You should have 2 folders on your usb stick, one named licence with the licence key file in it. The other is named rcc_update with the update file in it. Have you checked the usb stick for these folders contain the files.

If the folders and files are present and you properly formatted the usb stick as FAT32 right at the beginning before adding the folders with the files, then all you have done wrong is removed the stick too early.
During the update of my navigation system the same screen appeared but you just leave it in and a new screen appears telling you it's updating firmware.
Don't forget the engine must be running before you start and upto the end of the update process.
Give it another go but leave the stick in longer.

Thanks again
Yes two folders on usb. Usb formatted to FAT32.
I will try leaving it plugged in for longer.
I need to use the car this morning, so will try this afternoon.

I tried again this afternoon and by leaving the usb for a while it started to take the update, then gave me an error message 'Update map-eur has failed'
No idea where to go from here.

Not a very helpful message display is it. The only thing I can think is the original download is incomplete somehow as you say it started to take the update. I think it shows a ribbon extending across the screen from left to right.
I found this on Peugeot forum discussions with the same error message as yours 'Try fully formatting your USB stick between downloading firmware and downloading map updates. I had a similar experience to yours and the only way it would work was if I did the format.'
