Touchscreen update HELP

Unfortunately ffrenchie has a Chromebook and the Citroen PC app wont install on it.

He needs someone local to him to agree to download and install the app and prepare the USB stick for him OR perhaps a Citroen garage could prepare the USB stick for him.

Maybe in these days of GDPR (data protection regulations) it might not be so easy for businesses to do it.

How many Belingoers want their Touchscreen system updated anyway?

I know what you mean I ran a part-time business building Windows PCs and installing os's a few years back and still havent got around to chucking out all the old bits.

All the above his over my head I don’t have the windows computer etc does anyone know we’re I could get someone to put it onto a usb stick I paid the local computer shop saying that they have put it onto the usb but it doesn’t work when putting it into the touchscreen I don’t have the tech knowledge to even check if it’s even on the usb I’m stuffed really looks like I’ll just leave it thanks Sean.

Did they just do the download ? According to the earlier posts it needs to be unzipped to a folder before it is installed.

i showed them what i needed and sent them the link from my Citroen app so i was expecting it to be right by the computer shop the dealer were i got the van from Evans Halshaw Leeds are just a total waste of time fobbing me off time after time i have contacted Citroen customer service they told me last week that they would talk to the dealer to get it done i'm not holding my breath i just thought that i would take it some where who knows what they are doing and pay for it and it would be less hassle

One thing I notice, having just gone through this with the help of Friendly Fire:
The key file folder should be named 'licence' not 'license'

In case of non-nav unit - no. See the pic in my previous post. This is the USB stick I used to update mine.

Just curious as to what difference the update makes to a non satnav touchscreen ? is it worth the aggro?
Im thinking this sort of thing wants a lot of leaving alone.

I should imagine it irons out problems that shouldn't be there or does things better than it did before. I don't think Citroen would spend money doing it if it wasn't needed.

i could anyone please please help with this touchscreen i bought in June 2020 new a berlingo enterprise van (none sat nav) registered 30th January 2020 while in showroom i downloaded citroen app which said that touchscreen needed a update to this day going back to dealer 3/4 times i have not been able to get it solved rang citroen customer service absolutely waste of time i am  no good with computers whats so ever only own a Chromebook so i have paid local computer shop in town to download it onto a 32GB usb stick but it wont recognize it so can anyone tell me with looking at photos if it does need updating and also anywhere i could go for it done but not main dealers (Leeds area) or even post the usb stick to someone and have it installed by someone who knows the crack who knows someone may tell me its up to date already i am just going off what ten citreon app says any help would be very much appreciated its i just like things right.

My friend is having the same issue but he’s unable to even find the fileS too do the update. If you or anyone could send me the files il be able to do a video on the subject to show everyone how to do the installation. Thank you
