I've been lurking for a while, you seem a friendly bunch ! I own an 03 plate 600D LX 1.9 D with a genuine 145,000 miles on the clock !
The "HEARSE" as it's affectionately known has always worked in the building trade and so has many battle scars , but it gets me to site in all weathers well chilled out cos of that comfy suspension . I'm a painter & decorator so can carry a lot of weight in the back but the "hearse" always returns 45 mpg - result ! it's also impossible to speed in this model so no worries on M6 with cameras !
I've put 30,000 miles on in my 2 1/2 years of ownership so obviously had mechanical issues ; power steering pump , altertator , fan belts , wheel bearings , track rod ends etc etc no vehicle is maintenance free ! All parts required have been both readily available and reasonably priced .
