We have owned a BlueHDI 100 Berlingo Feel XL for a few months now. The space provided with the rear seats removed and the centre seats folded down is ideal for what we need, however the 100bhp engine is under powered. Unfortunately my local Citroen and Peugeot dealers don't have any similar cars available with either a 130bhp diesel or 130 petrol engines.
I'd expect the BlueHDI 130 to be noticeably better than the 100 but how does this compare to the petrol. I know I'd have to have a 6 speed manual diesel or an 8 speed auto petrol but has anyone driven both side by side. Is the petrol much quieter and smoother?

Not had the diesel, but the 130 petrol is a good drive and now the only one available as 8 speed auto.

Hello!
I have the 130 hp BlueHDI, lwb, 4x4 van. The engine is very powerful. The 6 speed gearbox is ok.
In my van I think the engine isn't particularly quiet.
My dream set up/choice is (but sadly not available): 130 BlueHDI, LWB, 4x4 with locking and 8 speed auto!
This combination could have outperformed my old Chevy!!!!!

You can have xl/lwb 130 diesel and automatic, but not with 4x4.

Just checked. The only automatic option in the configurator is Puretech 130.

Hi,
You won’t notice a huge difference between 100 BHP and 130 BHP unless you have a heavy load and are doing lots of A and B road driving.
