[Warning Light] Alternator question

Hello

I have discovered my 03 19d van has an odd alternator fitted. The model serial number according to
google says it is off a 02 peugeot  206 1.4. Hmmm, I need to replace it and wasn't expecting that.
As it's lasted well on my van and not given me any trouble over many years should I just replace it
with same model from a breakers yard, they are quite cheap, seen one for about £30. Just wondered
if this was a common occurrence. Thanks.

If it has worked well and you had no problems with it then yes just replace it with the same one.
The diesel engined vans sometimes as a work van need a larger capacity for extra lights , beacons etc, so if you dont have such then any 12v alternator will do

Ok cheers. None of that, It's pretty basic with no ac cl and manual windows. I'm thanful it even has a seat

Think I'm going to have to grind the 8mm hex bolt off the alternator as It wouldn't budge, so frustrating
trying to fix anything on this van.
