Today checked the car, found out one of the headlights had a bad main beam lightbulb.
But I do not have a warning about this bulb on my board computer or dashboard, seems odd for a car made in 2017 not to detect a defective bulb..
Do yours have this feature? Can this be enabled somehow?

I do not have such a feature on 2016 B9, I did not see anywhere in Diagbox an option to enable it.

Is it that necessary. Surely you'd notice it straight away driving in the dark. Whether you can change
one at the roadside is another matter.

Berlingo doesn't have this option, regardless of year when was made. Have in mind, this car came out back in 2008.,and technology is from those years, they didn't bother to have this option, and have seen lot of Berlingos with brake light not working, mine previous one from 2011. did have also problems with bulbs from brake light.

Perhaps a stroll round the car every so often using the Mk 1 eyeball to check for dud bulbs might be the best idea.

I usually get the Mk 1 passenger eyeball to do this

I check my headlights every time I back it out of my garage. I can see the beams on all the junk inside...
Same with the front blinkers.
The rear lights I usually test after driving around the office in a futile search for a parking space because the road I take is at 90 degrees off the front of the glass-walled front, which works very well as a mirror...
If you have a garage with room to spare, hang a few mirrors here and there...
