Low beam not working
#1
When driving home from work today, I noticed that the low beams (head lights) didn't work. The high beams however seems to work fine, so I don't think the bulbs are at fault. I've also checked the fuse to the head beams, that seems to be ok.

Any ideas? Could the headlight switch be to blame?

Is there a fuse for the low beams?

Haynes shows separate fuses for N/S and O/S , for dipped and main beam (4 x 10amp), presumably for safety so that the lights (unlike the UK) won't all go out at once!  As both lights go out on dipped it could point to the relay or switch?

I took a guess at the model number, so the attached diagram may be wrong but worth checking.
Looks like there are 2 fuses for the dipped & 2 for the main as noted above, so if the bulbs & fuses are ok, the common point is the lights switch itself.

^^^^ not the best diagnostic method I have to say !!

My advice would be to check the bulbs with a meter before doing anything else and if you don't have a meter then buy two new bulbs.

Thank's for all the good answers!

I changed the bulbs, and that seemed to fix it. I guess the low beam filament must have burnt out, while the high beam still functioned?

Anyways, it's always good when there is a easy solution Smile
