How to Remove Centre Console Around Gear Lever, 12V etc (2012 B9 2nd Gen)
#1
Photo
New owner of a Partner, had an issue with the 12V charger and found the answer to removing the centre console on a thread about replacing the electric window switch (thanks and credit to BobbyW). Took me quite a while to find that, so thought I'd do a thread specifically about removing the console that others might find more easily.

It is very straightforward: Remove the gear gaiter (along with its plastic surround) by just popping it up and back. This exposes three screws to undo. Then unscrew and pop off the small panel on the inboard side of each footwell (In the left hand footwell this small panel didn't easily remove, but just dropping it down a bit was enough to provide access to the next screw). This exposes one screw on each side of the main console. Undo these, and the whole caboodle pops off.

Some crude pics attached for guidance and model confirmation.

Apologies if this thread already exists on here, but I could not find it.

Thanks for this great resource.
