Has anyone had any issues with android auto in the Citroen Berlingo vans? It has been working fine since I got the van but suddenly has stopped working now but is still showing the phone is charging so the cable must be ok. I have tried deleting and reinstalling android auto, tried a different cable, tried clearing the cache as google troubleshooting says but nothing seems to work. This is the case for my personal phone and also my work phone. Just wondering if anybody has reported anything similar as it has baffled me

maybe is related to this:
With the release of Android 12, Google decided to discontinue the Android Auto app in favor of Google Assistant, which features the new Steering Mode.

Hello there!
Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a 2016 Berlingo II B9 1.6 Blu HDi 100 Multispace Flair.
Over our years of ownership I have had various Android phones, none of which will mirror their screen onto the Berlingo as I was led to believe was possible.
In the early days, I took it into our Exeter dealer and a guy managed to mirror his Apple phone but wasn't clued up enough to get it working on my Android phone. My currrent phone is a Samsung A10.
Has anyone else been able to connect an Android phone and, if so, how please?
Cheers and a Happy New Year!
Brian, Exeter

If your Berlingo is a 2016 model, your on the wrong thread.
You need the B9 2nd generation thread

Sorry about that. I did a search and this thread came up. I shopuld have looked more closely!
However, it seems that the later generation models may have the same issue

I've gotten four K9s working fine without any trickery, different phones, including a late model Samsung. Just follow the instructions precisely. Mine works with a wireless dongle, cable free.

My van has a weird issue with android auto. The first time I connected my phone to it (Xiaomi 11t pro - renowned for issues with android auto) it connected and worked for about 5 mins before closing down and not connecting again but still charging, works perfectly with a cheap cable in the ford ranger I was using for work prior to this I'll add, after trying several cables, different phones, a wireless android auto adapter, uninstalling/updating android auto on the phone I had no luck and was ready to give up with a last ditch option of buying a 10gbps capable usb lead, got it plugged it in works perfectly, thought to myself problem solved.. wrong. It seems either the van or the phone doesn't like the heaters being on, as soon as the dash starts to warm up (phone is kept in the pocket behind the gearstick) the problem starts again. Disconnects, Bluetooth still works, phone shows android auto is available and still charges but video stream. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm 90% sure it's a heat related issue there was a noticeable difference in temperature to touch in the pocket the phone was in after having the heating turned up to about 21c and with that inability to use android auto until it cools down and both the phone and van have been turned off and restarted

Even Google does not support Android auto any more. It's a dead product and they no longer promote it.

We have a 2021 K9 - vauxhall version, and I have an issue with google maps on my android phone not talking to the car, it works fine when connecting for phone calls. It did work then suddenly stopped. My wife has an identical phone and it still communicates with the car for google maps
