swivel seats hit the brake lever
#1
hello to all Berlingo fans ,
My first post is to solve the problem of how to operate the swivel front seats on my recent purchase of a 2006 Berlingo Forte La Parisieene camper by LVD the one previous owner cannot help me how to fully swivel the seats they turn as far as the handbrake which prevents them to swivel ,ime thinking there must be a method in operating the swivel to fully turn so any help would be most welcome

Welcome to the forum.
Looks like the seats are a bit of a faff, hopefully someone else has one and can shed some light..

There's an old thread here: https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-3557.html that discusses these (or something very similar). One post mentions seatbelt anchors getting in the way rather than the handbrake, so maybe they're referring to the B9 (they just say "Mk 2 Berlingo")?  Anyway, there are a couple of links given in the thread that might be worth following up.

This youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e-PeCEc75I gives a demo of how to swivel seats in a VW Transporter. Might not be of any use, but it gives a couple of tips that might have general applicability.

I have been searching this morning and have posted on the General Fo Huh rum to see if anyone can help. Have you tried swivelling with the rail fully back or fwd??

does not lift up, i phoned Northstar conversions.co.uk  who took over  LVD  some time back , unfortunately he cannot remember the exact sequence to operate to 360 degrees but they swivel in wards or outwards with the driver passenger doors in the open position on the Stimson  swivel seats by sliding the seat forwards and backwards to complete the reverse position so will try again and let you know ,fingers crossed  .
Doors open would be a safety feature imo

Hi Keith it worked see my last post doors need to be open, weird must be some kind of safety incorporated for   when the seats are facing backwards, so a result at last Smile
