Berlingo van drivers seat
#1
Bit weird this, but my drivers seat has sagged badly and there appears to be a bar missing underneath the seat squab.

I'll get some pics tomorrow, but the seat foam is pre-shaped so you can see where the foam sits on the rails. But about 3" behind the front rail there is a pre-formed groove on the underside of the foam but no corresponding bar for it to rest on? And this is the area where the seat has sagged, the front few inches of the squab, and the lack of support means I can feel the front rail metallwork through the foam/cover.

I don't suppose anyone has pics of the underside of the seat? Bit of a long shot, I know...

I have some pictures. The entire seat foam is a spare part.

Perfect, thankyou. And as I suspected, I have a rail missing! In the second pic there are two rails close together; the inner one is inexplicably missing on my seat. The foam is fine, so all I need to do is find a suitable bit of pipe and bend it into shape. Cheers!

No problem at all as it happens, I just fashioned a length of angle iron to fit, wrapped it in lagging tape to hide the square edges, then bolstered the whole squab with an old pair of jeans. Worked a treat.
If I could work out how to insert pics I’d show you…
