rev counter, 1.6hdi,
#1
One annoyance with Peugeot Citroen, is their habit of marking the rpm dial in tens x100,
instead of the more usual ones X1000.
Hence the speedo & rev counter look similar at a glance.
Me it irritates, but the missus is quite likely to be doing 3000rpm everywhere in 30mph towns. Rolleyes
Any good ideas out there?

Slightly less drastic than above...

Put a big MPH sticker on the speedo?

Both viable solutions, maybe I get annoyed by things that really are first world problems so to speak.
But it's a silly design choice, unless just to be different.
Oh hang on, it's illogical & it's French.
That's fine then. Big Grin

Looks a little better if the speedometer is in km/h and not in MPH, then the speedometer reaches 190 km/h and you see differences between it and the RPM clock.

But still it is uncomfortable...

I hardly look at rev counters - I just listen to engine note. The rev counter on my M49 stopped working years ago.  A mobile electrics guy looked at it but the cost of fixing was too much and I just got used to not having one that worked.  I sometimes look at the counter on my K9, but only going up hills to check revs aren't going below where the turbo kicks in at about 1,750 rpm (without the turbo, power kinda vanishes).

Ah, I understand the OP's problem now - ignore my previous post.  Lol.

Can't you make a card insert for your wife to use to cover up the rev counter?

If she wears glasses then tape up the appropriate lens.
If not, an eye patch would do the job
