I was driving home yesterday and my wipers stopped working. When I triggered the wipers I could still hear the motor moving so I stripped the wipers and cover off to identify that the arms had come off the motor spindle. So I have placed them back on however, I am worried that they will come back off again and now we are moving into winter. Is there supposed to be a bolt/nut on the end of the spindle to prevent them from coming off? If so does anybody know what size it is supposed to be?
Its a M8 flange nut which needs a 13mm spanner and not sure but I seem to think its a left hand thread .
The nut will not have gone far so I would go magnet fishing in the scuttle area , very few places where the nut could go out of the space

As per your other post get a new linkage set. the plastic bushes wear out.
