I fitted a Teyes cc3; very poor in fact no real instructions on how to fit it and what Menus/buttons /etc do. No paper manual. Careful what you order because if you buy the twin usb dash lead you can't fit DAB adaptor because that port is occupied.
It gets very hot and you are not told it can be converted to a single din with a special bracket that costs a overpriced £30. Only found out after cutting out the space for a double din unit.
Postage is another high expense. Shipping is 72 dollars.
Sim cards are problematic some work some don't that is if you want to try to use the phone set up. The teyes phone app supplied with the unit just will not work for me , had to download the phone app from goggle to try to use, gave up on that. It may have been me not pressing or being able to find some button somewhere but with no paper manual it is quite difficult to figure out.
There is no provision for it working on the accessory position. Its either on with full ignition or not on at all. The on/off button does not work unless ignition is fully on and I cant find a way to wire it up without losing the magic box called canbox which allows the original clock screen to work.
The radio is OK but a bit primitive, it is only frequencies and no station names. DAB gives the station names etc but FM doesn't If you lose a signal it just sits and does not seek another station. No automatic tuning. There is a small AFT button but it does not seem to do anything. There is supposed to be a software upgrade which is supposed to cure this but I couldnt get it to upgrade.
You can use the teyes radio app but no local /regional/BBC stations on the list. If you figure out a list of radio stations and frequencies and tell them they will update their system and you can then download the radio station names. Why do all that when it could have been done at the factory in china where they are made.
Wondered why payment/prices are in Australian dollars. and the videos built in are either Russian or Chinese.
The supplied mounting is very poor , the unit jumped out of the dash 2/4 times when hitting a pothole. Had to adjust it before it would stay in.
The screen is very reflective on a sunny day so much I cant see what's on screen , If it was adjustable about 20/30 degrees upwards it would help the readability of the screen. The very small text doesn't help. The screen protector may be a large cause of it but it is needed because of the hundreds of times I had to take it out and in to correct the wiring. There are masses of wires that come with it.
The OBD11 is too long to fit in the space behind the B9 glove box lid. so the plug is just hanging . I asked about this and was advised to use an adaptor which was even larger.
With hindsight I would look elsewhere for an android head unit.

Wow, very comprehensive Brodfather. You really have been through the mill with it. Based on your experience I cant see how anyone would want one. Theres a lot to be said for analogue!!

Neither wonder there are so many crashes on the roads, people seem to be watching the screen more than watching the road.

Funny you say that jj9, as we move into, not modern times, but futuristic times, they brought out laws to revent the use of mobile phones behind the wheel, but you look at these cars nowadays that have nearly tv size LED panels to control everything in the car. So you cant use a phone but you can use a tablet. Even worse, most of the designs now mean that nearly all operations are controlled by these panel even just turning on the heater. So, listening to the radio is the least of the problems. I know a car that only LCD panel controlls the glove box opening. I mean wtf?? Talk about distracting the driver behind the wheel. Ok, so most say pull over to operate, but they also control the driving styles of the vehicle which require operatiing on the go... But as long as youre not on that phone!! Farce!!

I was following a young lady last week in the city centre who was watching Britains Got Talent on her dash device, whether it was a phone or the dash screen, not sure but we could see the picture clearly at night when stopped behind her at the lights. I don't
watch that show myself now so no idea if it was live TV, but could have been a YouTube repeat.
Wtf indeed. What are people thinking these days.

My B9 does not even have accessory position, but to circumvent the dreaded economy mode when listening to music when parked, I made following modification to the wiring:
Headunit switches on/off by input called ACC. This input comes from the canbox, so canbox switches it on when can bus says ignition is on. I did cut this line, and put a on-on switch between it so that I can feed the headunit ACC-in either from the canbox or permanent +12V.

I propose to try Navradio. It is far better FM radio frontend. It supports station RDS names, and paid version also station logos. RDS Auto Frequency functionality is rather bad on these units, but there is some improvement going on in that software to get most out of it. About DAB I do not have any experience, my country does not have that.
I'd expect Teyes cc3 would run that application without issues, but Teyes firmware being somewhat restricted against modifications (I have heard so), you might not be able to completely replace the OEM radio application with other. At least the Teyes launcher would know nothing about other radio frontend applications than its own. But I'm just guessing in this paragraph, never tried that cc3.

(02-11-2021, 06:51 PM)Tikki What cannus settings did uou use Wrote: 9" Multimedia player in the B9 is no problem any more. And you wil have all the luxury of a tablet.
With android apps. Reversing camera. And mutch more.
Mine is a teyes cc2
Just plug and play
The only thing is first time setup of the radio and get to know the menu system, since the basic language is in russian.
after switching to your native language its no problem any more.
The stalk controll works as normal.
The menu settings is not directly adapted for the berlingo. But i found out that the settings for peugeot 308 is compatible. and if you have the electronic AC that can be controlled from the player.(this not a problem, and has no effect on the every day use on a low tech berlingo)
Even the reverse lines adjust as you turn the steering wheel if you have a camera.
