Lost 5th gear

Good evening all,

2016 1.6 HDI adblue 75hp Berlingo 55000 miles

I have recently lost 5th gear completely.

I removed the gearbox end inspection plate, to find bits of what looks like the 5th gear sunchro hub

I am guessing of course as I know nothing about gearboxes.

Can this be repaired in situ without removing the gearbox?

Anyone know what parts i need?

with these broken bits floating around the gearbox it may be better to try another gearbox than try to fix this one.
A second hand g/box may be about the same price or cheaper than the parts you will need if you can get them.

It looks as though repair kits are available, which might suggest that it can be repaired 'in situ'?

No idea, the van doesnt get any abuse at all.

Thanks for the replies and the ebay links guys, 

after looking at some youtube videos I might actually have a go at this repair myself.

I will keep you all posted.
