lights no indicators

hello everyone new here.....got an issue if anyones come across it before....on an 05 berlingo .... im gonna be pulling things apart tomorrow so it'll be handy knowing where to start if i can.....i'm sure its a duff earth somewhere

the problem.... headlights off indicators work fine
...................... headlights on no indicators
.......................i've also noticed when this developed that the horn has stopped working too (this is constant with or without the lights on)

when i have the lights off and pull my full beam stalk back the indicators work with full beam on but just not with the standard lights on

also when i turn the ignition off the headlights don't stay on anymore but i get the beeping to turn them off when i get out of the car as if they are still powered

my first point of call is gonna be the earth points behind the headlights
2nd is the earths at rear lights
3rd is pulling the steering wheel apart for loose wires(which i don't want to do if i don't have to)

anyone come across this before and if so what was the culprit

also does anyone know what fuse is the horn.....i know the lights ones and they fine

With these playing like that, some connection in the COM2000 unit is not too good. Could be the horn earth. There are several threads regarding the earth in the com2000. If you search horn not working it should come up.

managed to fix the light/indicator issue....was a loose ribbon in the com2000 unit.....still got no horn and since putting it back together i've lost audible warnings in the car .....the indicators clicking and the beep when you take the key out but leave the lights on.....have tried running an extra earth for the horn ...no joy on that....gonna try the fuse if i can find a diagram for it.....will a new com2000 unit solve all issues??

Not too sure what the design of your COM2000 is (DAV or Delphi), but there has been a success with a screw through the horn's earth, if I remember correctly. Cleaning the contacts might also work: https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-19092-page-2.html

Could be another ribbon (https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-623.html). A new com2000 unit might fix it, but you never know.

Would be very interested in knowing how you got on. I have a similar thing, indicators work but when sidelights selected , indicators stop after a second or so. No headlights but flash works. Horn is OK.

It would be easier to help if you can have a look under the top cowling what COM unit you have. For the different units there are different fixes and different problems.
