I have only seen one here, in a small town outside the city a small company uses an M59.
No Mk3's at all, loads of "Eurotaxis" "Voyagers" though, based on the Despatch and Relay models

Isn't there a Scots based company that leases out cars for taxis? They advertise nationally & you see them all over UK. They lease out specific vehicles, Peugeot Expert people carrier for example. Perhaps they have started leasing out Berlingos.

Taxi models seem to be a regional thing.
The vast majority in my area are Toyota Avensis. Practically all in fact. I've never seen a berlingo taxi around here. The draw back must be the rear door opener... most peeps can't cope with it at high level!
In Bolton the vast majority are petrol Avensis converted to LPG. Partly because the cost of LPG around here is pretty good as there's competition with good numbers of cars using it and good numbers selling the stuff.
At 63p a litre in Bolton it must be quite an advantage for a taxi. Whenever I travel out of the area I often pay 10p more a litre for the stuff!

Didn't realise you were so close tucker. As I've said before, plenty of private hires are Berlingos round here.

All the new Blingos mean good news for anyone buying second-hand in a couple of years I suppose.Plenty of choice.

There was a 'comedy' Telly program last year about a group of ladies setting up a taxi firm. They had a fleet of 6 bright pink berlingos. None round these parts. But most of the taxis here are clapped out old bangers - there's even a Cavalier I see now & then.
