Satnav night mode
#1
My Satnav seems to be in night mode way too much. Its cloudy and raining outside and as a result, its in night mode and I cant see the roads on the satnav. It did go into daylight mode yesterday for a while but not long.

Is there a way to clean a sensor or manually switch to daylight mode?

FYI my side lights seem to be on all the time and my headlights come on when its dark. Auto wipers seem to work fine too.

Thanks

Hi

At the bottom of the instrument panel there are several buttons (depending on model). There should be a '+' & '-' they can be used to adjust the screen brightness and I believe it also alters the centre display.

There again I could be wrong.

Thanks, I'll give that a try, though this is more of a mode thing. Day mode has a white background with dark grey roads, while Night mode has a black background with dark grey roads; good at night but not in the day.

Its linked to your auto headlights

If the auto Symbol is lit, then everything interior will go into night mode - you will find you need to play about with it to get what suits you best.

As per Tree, are you set in auto headlight illumination mode?  On my van the adjustment is twisting the left hand stalk.  In auto mode the headlights will come on automatically as the light level dims, though in the past I have found the sidelights go OFF during the day in this mode - though I haven't really tested it during gloomy conditions. I've never used the satnav (not even sure if I've got it, lol), so can't comment on how that's connected as Tree describes.

Yeah its in Auto mode but just seems over sensitive this time of year. I'll try turning auto mode off, then back on again to see if it resets itself.

My side lights seem to be on all the time so it must think its darker than it really is.

Your side lights are your daytime running lights - they're no longer LED in the Berlingo

Don’t know about that but certainly on the K9. Hopefully I’ll know in about two weeks!

It's a 2019 model if that helps. I managed to adjust the brightness which helped a little but its still stuck in night mode. Also, my lights don't have an off mode. It's either auto, side or headlights. Auto stays on all the time.
