rear interior roof console light removal ?

How do I remove the roof console rear interior light  ?

I have tried simply prising it out but it seemed that it was about to explode so retreated.

I assume I am not far off but lack technique, is there a specific side I need to attack ?

As per my other thread on removing the rear section of the over head thing, I hope there is a screw behind the light that is stopping me getting it detached

In my Berlingo, it has clips at the side closest to the windscreen. The wiring enters it at the cabin side. So you have you have to prise it from the windscreen side. I used two plastic trim leavers, using one on each of the two springs.

cheers I worked it out by looking at photos on ebay that showed both sides of the light

in short prise it out on the opposite side to the switches

its a tight fit but pops out eventually

I squeezed my clips a bit to make it a little less tight
