Fixing kit for engine well bottom
#1
2.0HDI 2003 BD53 CLV

Hi, try to find info on parts need to fix the engine cover at the bottom of the engine well. It the big black cover underneath the car that protect the engine etc and cuts down on noise. Also any on-line reference to fitting etc would be most useful.

I have the black plastic fixers, just need to identify the screws at the front and the bolt/screw at the back of the unit.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Hi Sundance, I think you will have to go to the dealers to get the correct bits, the ones at the front on mine( mk2 04 plate) are metal type screw threads, and at the back/ sides are plastic which push and turn, have used tie-raps in the past to secure, should be staight forward fix. Cool

Have already tried to source parts from them, which don't match with the remaining screw I have on the front.

Strange, I found that I'd lost two of the three front fixings and checking on line found the same as you that the listed parts don't match what I have and need replaced.

Next time I have a spare rest day I will go to the dealer and try to match them up.

Coco, where did you check them on line? As I needed to sort our mine asap I have booked it into the dealer where I brought the parts so we will see what they have to say. If I have anything useful will report back.
