Ad-Blue & Eloys.
#1
Hi, I have a 2016 Partner tepee blue hdi ( 120 ) and do not know yet if it has a Eloys tank/bag as well as Ad-Blue, if it has both then what warning do I get on the dash when they are low? there is only mention of Ad- Blue in my hand book, if anyone knows the answer to this please tell, cheers.

I believe that ad blue is in the same compartment as the fuel filler so you should know if you have this.
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4

Its either one or the other, you wont have both and going by the age of your motor it'll be Ad blue

Hi brodfather, my car is running Ad Blue but have been advised it could be running eloys as well, apparently some do and some don't, will get under for a ganders when weather is a bit nicer, thanks very much for the reply.

Apologies to Crolandc you are right, some models do have both systems .

Seemingly ad blue reduces/removes NOx from the exhaust emissions.

Eloys reduces the temperature at which the soot particles burn off
From the C4owners website
"The system operates by burning off particles caught in the filter which make up part of the exhaust system. To enable this ‘burning off’ process the exhaust gas temperature must be raised to approximately 500°C, this is achieved by changing the characteristics of the diesel before combustion by the means of an additive."
