Centre light display
#1
I have checked out the threads regarding the back light on the centre panel, but wondered if there is a way of dimming or brightening the light on the display.

When I got the car a couple of months ago, the panel was lit and working fine. I am wondering if I have twiddled with something when trying all the buttons and turned it down or is it that the back light is just going. I can just make out the time etc but only when it is dark. In the day light I can't see a thing. Radio, channels volume etc all working fine.

Any help appreciated.

One of the buttons on the instrument panel (by the speedo, I think the left one) is a rheostat and pressing that will change the strength of illumination of both instrument cluster and MFD. Try that to see if it changes something.
Some of the bulbs might not make a good contact and not operating as well. You could get the LED ones, but I tried those and the beam is way too concentrated and you see a halo around the light and it did not look good to me.
