Right ...when you open passenger door ...roof light comes on ...or does it ? Pretty sure it didnae one tine.Anyway next to the light switch there is a knob with two settings ( I think) which I’ve “ twiddled” with no reaction.Whats purpose does it serve?
Go easy wae me I’ve just joined ...08 van..not quite sure of the actual model as lm sure u know this was a “change over” year

I don't have that model, but it's common for these interior lights to have three switch settings - 'on', 'off', and 'comes on when door is opened'.

The knurled knob is supposed to turn on a small light that is separate from the other one, maybe the bulb has blown or the contacts are making a poor connection when the knob is turned.
