BSI BMC OR WHATEVER?
#1
Was away in Peak District wipers packed up at front and washers but not at back, AA came out checked fuses and did a reset still no joy he got diagnostic equipment out and turned everything on from his computer the only thing that didn't work was the wipers he said everything points to computer box failure I've spent close to £2000 pounds on this car in 2 years and it's not long had a cambelt, water pump, coil spring, and a whole lot more done it's old 03 plate 1.6 petrol I haven't got rid of it because I've spent so much on it what now? Undecided

The wiper linkages had a habit of falling off leaving no wipers but the motor still worked.

At the age of your berlingo  if the motor is not running then brushes in motor possibly.

Not sure but if the BSI packed up then I would expect that there would have been other things going awry.

Its easy to check for power at the motor with a test lamp or meter,   that's what I'd do before thinking about BSI
