Yeah, boop started a thread about this a day or two ago:

Not keeping any diesel or petrol options seems an odd decision to me - unless the price of electric versions comes down they might find sales take a nosedive.

The statement from Stellantis that a petrol or diesel can be specced by motability conversion partners is light on detail.

It will be considerably more expensive to request a petrol/diesel as it will need to be specifically made for right hand drive, the motability govt car lease contracts do not permit considerable alterations that are not part of the regular motability fit out approved kit, especially not ones that will cost many ££££s extra, etc.
So while it will be feasible for a motability conversion to be specced with the petrol or diesel, The costs will make it incredibly expensive.

On a side note, spoke to my local Vauxhall dealership this morning who can still order petrol or diesel combo life MPV models but he recommended ordering before the end of Jan to be safe.

I spoke with the sales manager who stated the current factory at some point will stop building right hand drive versions and that is when it will be electric only.
He also stated there will be a facelift and update for the current Berlingo/ combo life / Rifter which will be built at the Vauxhall Ellesmere Port factory; there will likely be some pre-order deal nearer the time.

On the car configurators of both UK & French Cit websites it seems now only possible to configure an electric Berlingo. I wonder if I will even get the diesel Berlingo I ordered in October ? My local dealer has no info on when or even if the car will be built. If they can’t tell me by February then they can return my £200 deposit & I will try & get a diesel Dacia Duster. I want a diesel car to tow my 1 tonne caravan. My current Berlingo is coming up to 5yrs old. I would have kept it longer but from the way things seem to be heading I want to change it for a basic fossil fuelled car while I still can.

If they have submitted the build you will be fine.

There is likely to be some UK builds regardless of orders to use up the remaining materials unique to the fossil fuel models so anyone who wants a petrol or diesel Berlingo should still be able to get one; the Vauxhall dealer stated that petrol and diesel combo life mpvs can still be ordered through them.

The PSA director announced in 2020 that they had stopped developing ICE engines, so they'd be getting problems with increasingly strict emissions regulations in not too long anyway. (Unless they did a VW job... )
