I replaced the oii filter and oil and when I drove away i had an engine error. The car kind of lost its power. Not like a limp mode. But it felt like the gas pedal didnt do anything going past 1/3 of its travel. I remembered that I hadnt replaced the fuel filter in a long time, so I thought it would be it. But when I got back I checked with lexia and got those fault codes indicating something with the fan and the particle filter. "The quantity of additive injected into the particle emission filter has exceeded the maximum threshold. The particle emission filter must be changed". The mileage on the car is just above 200k km (125k miles).
The error text on the fault with the fan was "Twin speed: incoherence between the setting (no command) and the status of the cooling fan"
How often are one supposed to clean/replace those particle filters?

Trying to get the DPF out, but the pipe connected near the exhaust i completely stuck. Tried with the oxy-torch but it didnt came off completely. Now the bolt is kind of rounded. :/ I'll give it some more tries, thanks!

I surrender. Tried a few times more with the oxy-torch. Not going to happend. I'm ordering a new with a new pipe and hopefully this solves the problem. (Hoping it wont be just the sensor that is wacky)

The ECU will assume the DPF needs changed or cleaned out every 100k based on the quantity of additive used, so it's likely just that. However you would need Diagbox to tell it the DPF has been replaced whether it's new or cleaned, before that error can be cleared. Otherwise it will always go into limp mode or restricted power.
