towbar wiring

hi folks, i have a 2014 multispace plus and i pick up my new towbar at the weekend. Can i use normal trailer electrics with a bypass relay or does it need to be dedicated wiring? thanks.

I will tell you next week. Mine (for my 2013 Te3pee Outdoor) was delivered today, and I will be fitting it later this week. I found a detailed talk-through on here and printed it off. Whoever wrote it found that the universal wiring kit with bypass worked without needing coded afterwards.

OK - report. Instruction 1 - remove lower bolts holding bumper assembly to chassis. First bolt I tried sheared off! Forunately I was able to heat the threaded boss red hot and wind the remains of the bolt out "the wrong way". But from there onwards it practically flew on. I bought from eBay and am very happy so far. Universal wiring kit to fit tomorrow - another report after. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160633345601
