Accelerator cable

Hi Berlingo people. Would anyone be able to link me up to a accelarator cable for a 2005 1.9 Peugeot Partner please just to make sure I pick the correct one?

The story is the cable snapped a fortnight ago and was AAyed on toe back to the house. The cable only previously broke three months ago, the garage replaced it then but it only lasted for 3 months, I'm going to have a go at fitting it meself this time. 

Any link to one please? It the cable with a bit of plastic nipple that seems to drop off. Many thanks

Does the plastic part break or is it just the cable end comes out of the plastic holder ??

If it just comes out glue or cable tie it into the plastic bit.

When fitting ignore the official cable route and choose the the route that gives the least number of bends and the gentlest of curves - avoid tight bends as this makes the throttle heavier and less precise, helps keep the loading on the plastic part as low as possible.

Thanks so much Geoff for the help and advice. The plastic is broken so ordered the kit as you advised (totally appreciated) and it should be here in three days. Hopefully can get some time off next saturday and fit the kit. Totally amazing help and advice thanks so much Geoff and so looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of what we call the Puppy Partner. We've had about 40 cars and vans over the years, many different types make etc, but these Partners / Berlingos are just great to drive and run, up there with the marvellous 2CV in many ways

Thanks so much for the help and advice Geoff. The part you recommended was spot on. Fitted it around a week ago. Took the smoothest route around the engine bay as recommended thanks so much. 

I drove the van for a couple of days and the weird thing I realised after fitting it myself was the plastic bit at the end of the cable that joins the pedal was catching the plastic surround under the dashboard. Pressing on the pedal it would catch on the plastic, this must have been the reason the garage fitted plastic join broke after a few months. Looking like we would be looking at a repeat performance I decided to remove the casing to the fuse box which was causing the plastic part of the cable join to catch it. 

I took the fuse box out a few inches back towards the seat by releasing some white plastic levers, then as the casing was bare I grabbed a small hacksaw and cut a 'v' shape into the casing. I would say about 1" deep into the casing for the fuse box. Now the cable plastic end was free in its travel as the pedal was pressed. Catching nothing. 

The van is now running spot on again. Thanks so much for the help Geoff
