Indicator issue

Hoping someone might be able to help. 
I have an indicator issue:

When indicating left, I noticed that occasionally the green light on the dash went quicker (like when a bulb is out). Not every time, but occasionally (an intermittent fault). 

Eventually, it became a pernament fault, and the rear N/S indicator stopped working. 

Thinking it was a blown bulb, I replaced that with new. The problem wasn't resolved.

I inspected the bulb holder, and noticing a small amount of corrosion inside the wiring connector I replaced the bulb holder. Still didn't fix the problem. 

I then figured maybe the connector plug might also be corroded, so I ordered and fitted a new connector. Still didn't fix the problem. 

After some further research, I learned that the BSI might need resetting. So, I did that, and the problem still exists. 

The odd part is that when I lock the car and arm the alarm, all indicators flash, even the one that no longer works with the stalk. 

I'm in Cornwall. If anyone is local or knows anyone local with a lexia or similar to diagnose and locate/ reset the fault please get in touch. 

If anyone on here has had a similar/ same experience and has any suggestions I might try I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Do the hazard lights work?

The hazard function works, but the rear (faulty) indicator doesn't join in/ flash.

It's odd, because when I set/unset the alarm via the remote fob, the faulty indicator flashes. Which tells me there it has power.

Do you suppose the BSI might be preventing it from working due to a fault stored in its memory?

I did the BSI reset earlier today (three times, as there is no obvious way of knowing if the reset is successful). When I was reprogramming the clock, I noticed on the display it had two listed faults:
Side lights (but they are all working)
Indicator (as mentioned in this thread)

How can I clear these recorded faults?

Asked question about the hazard lights as they probably share much of the indicator circuit wiring, so would take a guess that it's all intact and working. 
The only suggestion i'd try is to put the indicator on and try an 'extra' earth lead  direct to the bulb holder - earths can cause some weird and wonderful/inexplicable problems!

did you ever fix this problem? my 2013 b9 berlingo mpv passenger rear indicator isnt working too, no voltage to the pink wire, it was working then whilst indicating left it started to indicate faster, i thought oh a bulb just blown but got home changed bulb no joy, took harness off and measured voltage and nothing, currently trying to trace the wire back to the BSI to see if there is a split or corrosion along the line?

Almost certainly a bad earth imo
