[Steering & Suspension] clunk from front left of car.

I have been plagued for months by a clunk clunk from front left of "The Bling" . It's had a new MOT so it shouldn't be the normal suspects ball joints, drop links. top mounts etc.I even mounted the fuse box /ecu on rubber mounts because if you tapped it it produced the exact sound. No difference . Today I fell lucky  .Whilst changing the battery and checking the air filter box I noticed a small black plastic box underneath waving  in the breeze (Relay box)  slid it back onto its mounting bracket and secured it with a  cable tie. After a short drive it seems ok although I still think the air filter box is a bit loose. A simple fix ,but I thought there might be others out there with the same problem. The relay box cannot be seen from underneath (engine cover) or from top (air filter box in the way) It's 17 years old and 90000 miles .It's not ready to die yet.
