Hi, Folks
what is the metal plate that screws across the end of the torsion bars called? I believe it has a loop bent over to clip the handbrake cable to.
Are they available new?
Mine have dissolved on the salty Scottish winter roads.

Yeah I see the bracket you mean, I can't see it on any of the cat car diagrams either

Can you possibly use a stainless P clip - the sort that has a rubber liner - attached under one of the cap bolts ?
Alternatively make a strip with a P shape bent at the free end and drill a hole in the other end for the bolt. There's little stress on the 'loop' and it's probably there to anchor the cable to avoid chafing?

Aye, have plenty of rubber lined P clips, can whack one on the end of the clamped torsion bar.
