Hi.
I need to remove the black plastic trim above the rear number plate, does it pull off or do I need to remove the inner tailgate panel to access the any retaining screws?
Thanks.

Thanks for the link.
It does look like it is held with nuts, two, one at each end?
I don't want to remove the inner tailgate cover as I'll probably snap off most of the clips that hold it, so I might look at drilling a hole in the plastic cover from the inside and see if I can get a socket in the nuts.

I'd watch for hitting wiring doing that. Those clips would prise up with a teaspoon, they are fairly robust. The rest of the panel will pop off with a soft lever, something like a window scraper

Trim removal tools are the way to go - the idea is to apply equal lifting pressure to both sides of the clip so that it doesn't break. For example:

Or for a bit more dosh:

Plus I'm sure that you can get replacement clips just as easily.

I have trim removal tools and they're the best things ever. I just know a lot of folk don't bother getting them but Gryff is right, they are well worth it.

Plus, the clips are as cheap as chips, it is worth having some in stock.
