New work van collected
#1
New member here. Have just collected my new work van which is an enterprise edition I believe with aircon and rear parking sensors.  Much nicer van that the previous Berlingos we had.

I do like the Android Auto it came with too, I fact I have already purchased an aftermarket unit for my non Citroen car.

A couple of things I'd like to add is a dash cam and a 12v socket in the cargo area.  In my last Berlingo I ran the wires for the dash cam down behind the left hand A-pillar trim and spliced in the wires behind the glovebox.  Not looked too closely yet at the new van but was hoping to do the same sort of thing but may come down the drivers side pillar if there is an easy point to splice in to.

The 12v socket I want to put near the rear of the cargo area on the drivers side like the previous van.  Do any of the new vans come with a factory fitted 12v socket at the back?  I don't suppose any of the wiring might already be there?

Any other mods I should be considering, like reversing camera maybe?

What wiring will I find behind the offside side panel in the cargo area of my new van? Am I likely to find the wiring for a 12v socket there or do I need to run wires and splice in somewhere?

Has no one removed the side panels in a van then?

And I've got the even more previous M59.

SJ.SUMO, take the panels off and tell us what you find. All the knowledge in this forum began that way.

Removed the offside panel in the cargo area hoping to find somewhere to connect a 12 v socket but no unused connectors.

Can't find a wiring diagram anywhere online either. Just need to know which wire to splice into for 12v, earth point is right there behind the panel.

Managed to get the panel off without breaking any clips too.

Get a multimeter or a 12v bulb with wires. With a multimeter, set it to 20v or higher, touch the black probe to the metal body of the car, and the red probe to all the used connections, one by one, looking for 12v whenever the ignition is on.

Was thinking about splicing in to the 12v feed for the interior light.  Only need to power an LED roof beacon from it.

Would like a wiring diagram though just to see how they come from factory with 12v socket.

Another question I have is what do you guys use to mod the coding on your cars/vans?  I have VCDS for my own car but can't find an equivalent for Citroen or Peugeot.

For an M59 it's Diagbox (program) with Lexia (cable interface) but I doubt it would work with the newest range. Others can hopefully advise.

Likewise it may be the case the wiring diags for the newest models are not easily available yet.
