Engine cut out
#1
Hi, driving my berlingo Multispace 1.6 turbo diesel, with no warning the car suddenly lost all power and the orange engine management light came on. After ten minutes the car started again and thankfully I got home. However; having left it overnight it now shows the onange light and refuses to start.  Can anyone help me please.

Unfortunately there could be a wide range of reasons for the issue and the light coming on. The fault will be recorded as a code and you'll either need to buy a code reader to see what codes are there or get a garage to read the codes. Once you have the codes then post on here again and there's sure to be someone who can identify what each one means. Alternatively if you have AA Homestart or similar then call them out as they'll use a code reader to identify the issue. Make sure you note what the problems are!
Good luck.

Good question. I have bought a few of these down the years. It is a hit and miss with the cheap OBDII adapters and unfortunately cannot recommend one, maybe someone else will advise on a working one. Most of them do not work with an iphone (something PSA specific), but should work with android ones.

It's OBDII or OBD2, the reader connects to an android phone app (normally Torque) via bluetooth.

Here's an example, but there are many more. There will be some recent posts on which ones people have bought, a search for 'obd' will bring a few results:
