Drive shaft nut locking cap
#1
Hi I replaced a front wheelbearing recently and couldn't have fitted the R clip properly on the drive shaft nut locking cap, so have lost the locking cap. Does anyone know where a replacement nut locking cap can be got? Its a 2003 Berlingo 1.9d.

A main dealer will be the easiest bet assuming you don't live too far out in the sticks otherwise a breakers yard should do the trick.

Live on an island so main dealer is not so easy and no breakers yard here either - so mail order is best.

Unlikely to come undone on its own, but put another R clip through the hole as it will stop the nut migrating off altogether. I seem to recall that some kits now contain a nut with a plain sleeve section that you just hammer into the slot on the shaft. I think I have a new one of those somewhere  - if you are stuck with getting the original type then let me know and I'll start searching for it ...... Big Grin

I had a quick look in catcar.info & it looks like the part number is 3297-35

For some reason an online search comes up with this, which looks like the right part?
