Changing the front passenger seat

Hi guys, I've got a van seat I'd like to install into my 1.6 forte. Question I have is how do I remove the airbag sensor under the current seat & will removing that sensor put a warning light on dash? (The current seat has side airbags) the van seat is preferred as it folds completely flat & forward giving more options for cargo load & camping! Thanks for all and any help! 
I should of known it wasn't going to be a simple switch over like I hoped ? dammed electrical systems making it complicated!!?

I had the same problem on my M59 Berlingo. It is possible to buy resistors to replace the airbag. A search online for 'citroen airbag resistors' will show some options. There are also some instructions online about how to disconnect the airbag connectors under the seat. As to what your insurance company will think is another matter.
