Ok I know I'm old (according to my kids), and technology is sometimes hard to get to grips with, but I really do not understand why the digital dash records 7500 odd total mileage and my phone app 12500 odd miles. Both car and phone travelled together since new. What am I missing here and how do I get the total mileage displayed on the dash? ?

Hi
There are a couple of different dash display models. On my K9 at the bottom of the square display on the dash panel there are two mileages displayed, on the left is the total and on the right is the trip distance.
However, I think your issue is more fundamental: 7500 miles equals 12000 kilometres. So I suggest your phone app is set to KM instead of miles.

Alas there is no apples and pears here. The bottom left hand display is 7500 miles and the app quotes 12500 mi with consistent mpg of 45mpg. Only thing that seems to be off is the apps quoted fuel tank range on 3/4 full at 500 miles. So something is amiss here. Any other ideas?

Not a lot you can do about the car but you can either a) disconnect the phone app from talking to the car for a journey or two and then reconnect and let it update itself or b) delete and reinstall the app. See if that sorts out the difference and/or c) do a set mileage and see which records it properly.
If anything the likelihood is the car is right and the app is wrong so sort out something with the app, especially as the app is showing two thirds more mileage than the car. Mine plays up from time to time anyway.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

I haven't yet reinstalled the app, but it does indeed seem to be related to Bluetooth connection as without it and with a cable connection to the head unit the mileage revert to the car's reading. Strange but true. Something is not quite right in the apps software. Hopefully it will get ironed out eventually.

What phone app are you using, is it Apple or Android?
Just curious...

Sorry for long delay I've been very unwell and only just been getting back to normal. The MyCitroen app in Android. I'll be posting another query about the app as my local Citroen Service centre admitted they dont know anything about it!

I tried the app when I got new car in March & then deleted it. I can’t see the point of it really. It tells me nothing I don’t already know & I don’t need reminders to get it serviced. I keep my paper service records as I have always done.

Well it keeps my private/business mileage record for me to import into Excel which is kinda neat, and I plan my long journies in it sometimes and it downloads it to the car's satnav.
One big problem I have at the moment is the Citroen garage that did the cars first service did not give me any documents/bill for the work saying Citroen hold all the info electronically. I have post separately about this
