Rear door lock barrel replacement
#1
Hi

I own a Berlingo First 1.6 HDi '09 plate

I need to replace the rear door lock barrel and I need advice please.

I have a new barrel and key I bought from eBay, I have taken off the rear door inside plastic cover ok, however the rear wiper motor is in the way of accessing the existing barrel.

Ideally I could simply remove the rear wiper motor assembly, however I have been reading some threads on this forum and many people say you need to drill out rivets to remove the wiper motor assembly.

Has anyone replaced the rear door lock barrel, and if so, did you manage to do it without having to go through the process of removing the wiper motor assembly?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Not sure if my vehicle is the same berlingo van 2013 but worth a look . Did all the locks and they all came out the same wether it be doors or rear van doors. There was a small round sticker on the face of the door near the lock. Removed this you can see a Allen screw in there. Undo that not to far enough to release barrell. You can then just withdraw the whole assembly and work on it.

It is not the same, a Berlingo First is an M59 and a 2013 is a B9
