Scottish Newbie says Hello ?
#1
Hello Everyone,
I'm Chris from Central Scotland and just signed up to join this forum. I kept coming across it while I Googled for info on berlingos  Big Grin

Well I'm proud to say I purchased my first berlingo today Heart Big Grin 2010 1.6 xtr with the sunroofs amd rear opening window, need to learn what model that is Confused

Want to get it all set up to use as my home while I try and bag some munros this year ( kids not that keen on that idea ) and use on other adventures too obviously  Wink Thinking about purchasing an awning somepoint in the future so i will have plenty of space when the kids do decide to join me ( teenagers  Dodgy )

Going to try make a camper box/boot jump. Want to get a leisure battery fitted as well as indoor boot and rear window open buttons.

She's a well used motor but she's got plenty loving left in her yet can't wait to start enjoying the whole experience on creating and experiencing my dream.

Any hints and tips will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post

Sounds like the b9 model, should be great for everything you want to do.

Post a snap and we'll tell you whether it's an M49 or a B9. If you also post specs of the engine etc., some may reply with things to keep an eye on.

It will likely be a B9 at that year. There was a bit of overlap on M59 / B9 08-10 but if it looks like this:

It's a B9

Must say that it must be a B9 as  I don't  think any other models had to opening rear window?

2010 XTR has to be a B9, the last of the M59s were Berlingo Firsts and they were basic.

Whatever '9' it is, just get the oil changed good and often
It's way cheaper than turbo trouble.

A little thing too;
When you pull open the door handle you will see it leaves behind a little plastic part that covers a hole in the door panel.
Get some sort of water dispelling grease on it.
Water can freeze it to the handle and pull it off  leaving the  permanent gaping hole to allow rainwater into.
Happened on my 2010 van
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

It's possible to have that open from the inside with a button wired parallel with the realise isn't it? Hoping to get buttons fitted on Sunday with my neighbour to release tailgate and rear window. ?

Any hints and tips gratefully appreciated going to nosey the forum when I get time later tonight ?
