Hi,
Went to my local Dacia dealer this weekend to take a look at a Dacia Jogger 7 seater which they have in the show room.
Since Citroen/Peugeot/Vauxhall won’t be selling a petrol version of the Berlingo/Rifter/Combo Life in the UK, it’s nice to see another manufacturer offer one.
First thing, the price.
£14995 brand new for a petrol 7 seater.
Astonishing value.
The top of the range version which comes with a lot of kit is £17300.
You can extend the warranty to 4 or 5 years which I thought was brilliant.
The Jogger is more like the old 7 seater estate cars there used to be from the likes of Volvo, Mercedes and Montego but with a raised roof line.
It’s not as spacious as the Berlingo MPV, but it’s not bad.
The front driver and passenger seats have plenty of room , it’s the middle row space which is noticeably smaller than the Berlingo but no less so than a mid range hatchback like a Focus.
The 3rd row of seats are surprisingly okay space wise, again less than the Berlingo.
Anyway, in terms of value for money it’s brilliant and I must admit I will be tempted to change it for the Rifter once the warranty runs out.
The Rifter is a better car to live with, it’s a proper 7 seater and we can take adults and full size bikes in the back with ease where as the Jogger would be a compromise in this respect.
But at this price point and with very few alternatives to choose from if you want petrol power then I can see the jogger being a success.
Auto express this week called it the bargain of the year, I can see why.
