BSI Issue (No Front Park or Rear Lights)

the mileage is now up at 127k for the original 60k and the kit in the van I’m suspecting isn’t the original as the spare key won’t start the van.

Any advice would be great

Don't bet on the keys NOT being originals.

I can vouch for Both my keys as we have had them both from new but although both keys open the doors, only the "plick" key can start it.
The "spare" key hasn't worked in the ignition for the last year or so and the other is now completely knackered (04 plate 113,000 miles) with missing buttons and broken microswitches removing any remote functions. Even this one is somehow stiffening up in the ignition which is how the spare started its slide into disrepair and non functioning!

I was quoted a cut price for a newly programmed remote key but it was still over 100 pounds so I put the cash towards a new car! Just hope the old key starts the old car till the new one is here!

I eventually got around to dealing with this issue as the MOT is due now shortly. Anyway I found a company called BBA Reman in Kent and sent the Bsi over to them. They wiped it clean, installed some new software and returned it for £130. I had to then get it re-programmed in a local dealership for £60 and all was as good as new.
