it all started with a odd smell coming into the cabin when heater was on like a exhaust fume/oil smell.
Since investigated and found little oil sitting around cylinder one of the injector, is this a faulty injector seal causing this. I have cleared out the oil several times and after doing some mileage it reappears again and the smell comes back into the cabin!
I have already replaced the rocker cover gasket several weeks ago to no avail still doing it?
any advice or help appreciated many thanks.

I could not see well on the photo, but if I were you I would wipe it clean and see if it comes back. If it is not the injector N1 (next to the gearbox), which can get oil from the crankcase breather, then it is likely the injector seal. As far as I can see this is N4, sometimes oil from filling up can spill there.

HI, THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. PLEASE SEE ANOTHER PHOTO ATTACHED. I WIPED ALL OIL OUT A FEW DAYS AGO, SINCE THEN DONE LOTS OF MILES, CHECKED IT AGAIN YESTERDAY AND OIL BACK IN SAME PLACE ,UNSURE IF ITS INJECTOR ONE LEAKING AS ALREADY DONE AND CHANGED THE ROCKER COVER GASKET THINKING THIS WOULD CURE IT BUT SADLY THE OIL REAPPEARS AGAIN!

I have the same leak on the same cylinder for years. 5+
It bothered me in the beginning. Now I just ignore it.
To fix that I need to remove fuel lines and change injector O ring.
thanks. this one does not have a cabin filter or pollen filter as it has no air con.
as the oil sits either side of injector, when engine gets warm the oil steam and smell comes into the cabin if heater on and is not nice! so needing to get it done. I am sure its not the rocker cover as already changed this once already! just annoying the oil seems to reappear after doing many miles, I have let engine idle for ages and don't see where is coming from! typical.
The oil around injector 4 can come from 3 places, the rocker cover, the oil filler cap and the injector seal. Check the oil filler cap seal, run your finger on the rocker cover gasket and see if it is oily, it might have not sealed well.
When you replaced the injector seal, did you clean the injector seat with a reamer tool?
