How do I replace a damaged air vent?
#1
I have a 2017 Berlingo panel van and it has a damaged central dashboard air vent. I've sourced a replacement but I can't find any advice on how to remove and fit the replacement without causing damage.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have done this job on a recent model Audi but not on my B9. I have a feeling they just pull out, but could be wrong. Normally the "hoses" attach to the rear of the hole in the dash, and the vent pushes into the end of the hose & dash hole.

Others may happen along who have actually done this. Or you can try the Haynes manual. If I remember, I'll dig mine out tonight and take a look.

FYI - Have managed it without causing any damage. 4 catches need to pushed from the inside of the vent (using a small flat bladed screwdriver) and the unit pulled out carefully as each catch is released. Finally there is one raised ridge at the very top that hangs on - a case of manoeuvring it out over this.
