Engine stalling
#1
Hi, im new to this forums and I just had a big issue with my berlingo I need help with.

So I was driving home and the check engine light came on and a message in the display Said engine repair needed and the engine died. I had to have help to get home so the battery now can be low on power but its a new battery couple of months old.

The engine does start and runs fine on idle for a minute but then stalls again, the check engine light is still on and the same message appears in the display.

I have run diagnostic with two different brands  and the same codes come up, I have added them as pictures in this post.

All pointers on what to check would be hugely appreciated and or experiences with simmular issues or weak points on this car.

Its a 2012 with 177k km on the counter.

My best guess (which is all you will get on a forum without actual P-codes etc) is that a main fuse has gone and removed power to these items, since they are not functionally related. The first message is a bit generic and relates to three different key systems on the engine.

Check the fuses, and especially check the MF (masterfuses) under the top tray of fuses in the engine bay fuse box. That tray will either pull up and swing out, or may be rivetted in. Under the usual fuse tray is a row of (undocumented) fuses that might be hard to get hold of. (go Citroen yaaay)

If you're lucky, it could be one of the "normal" fuses to a circuit that supplies the engine sensors / ECU, or an actual ECU fault if you are not lucky. The internal temperature warning for the ECU itself is a bit of a red flag.

If you can send the P-Codes (P3500 etc or whatever you actually get) then I can look them up. Better still, I'll attach some documents from Citroen Tech that you can look through yourself. They give codes, and reasons for them.

First set of attachments are fuses and descriptions (including MF fuses)

Thanks for the great tips. I will check them out tomorrows. It does give sense considering I got so many supply volt errors. I wonder if the additive pump goes dry and hot if it's empty and ends up blowing some kind of fuse, cause I think the bag is completly empty.. But I thought I should get some sort of warning from it.

I wonder if this is the reason for it

The EGR will NOT cause all of these errors. Incorrect airflow yes, others no.

Download the documents I linked, they are not usually accessible to the public and show what codes mean, which faults they point to and how to trace them.

Stay logical and methodical.
