Defunct electrionic wing-mirror adjustment mechanism on a B9 Second Gen

Good evening,

Has anybody had a defunct electrionic wing-mirror adjustment mechanism on a B9 Second Gen? Ours is 2009 model. The dealers vague verbal warranty promise only covers Gear and Engine of course. The toggle left button manipulates mirror fine but for the right mirror nothing. Wondering if anybody has DIYed as it seems it could be simple, but would need to access electronics and maybe too complex. Otherwise, if anybody has had it fixed for a low cost.

You can purchase the mirror parts (OEM or pattern) on the internet or eBay. The base, the cover, the glass with variations depending upon whether they are electrically adjustable, heated, or just manual. Seems to me that your first job is to see whether there is a motor in the RH mirror and whether there is a current to it when "adjusted".

Good point Matt. Could be an eBay special with no electric motor.
